In 1977, Susan Silberstein, Ph.D. lost her young husband to cancer. “He left me with two babies, a broken heart, and a burning desire to make a difference.” Galvanized by her loss, she founded the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education (CACE), a national not-for-profit organization providing information, counseling and professional referrals for cancer patients and their families. As Executive Director of CACE, Dr. Silberstein has personally counseled over 20,000 patients. Now, as lecturer, as the Editor of Immune Perspectives magazine, and as the creator of the popular video, Breast Cancer: The Diet Connection, Dr. Silberstein delivers an important message about disease prevention through lifestyle education.

Dr. Silberstein’s dynamic presence, her passion for teaching, her clarity of communication and her empowering messages have made her a sought-after speaker for both lay and professional audiences nationwide. With over 25 years of experience in the health education field, she lectures extensively on nutrition, cancer prevention, and complementary medicine. She has appeared on scores of talk shows, has coordinated hundreds of health conferences, and has trained thousands of medical and nursing professionals.
